per pint, estimated
This is the strawberry pint for people who read labels: 37 grams of protein and 440 calories for the whole tub, with real frozen strawberries doing the flavor work instead of syrup. Cream cheese is the trick here — it keeps a lean, milk-forward base from spinning icy, and it makes the berries taste like a strawberry milkshake rather than ice. Blend everything smooth before freezing so the whey fully hydrates, and expect one respin on the way to soft-serve ridges. Vanilla whey is the default, but unflavored works if you'd rather nothing compete with the fruit.

Steps
Blend the frozen strawberries, milk, protein powder, cream cheese, sugar, and salt until completely smooth — about 45 seconds. A fully blended base is what keeps protein pints from spinning gritty.
Pour the mixture into the CREAMi pint, stopping at the max-fill line.
Freeze upright on a level shelf for 24 hours.
- Spin: ICE CREAM
Process on ICE CREAM. The first pass will look crumbly — that's expected on a high-protein base.
- Spin: RE-SPIN
Add 1 tbsp milk over the surface and RE-SPIN. Repeat once more only if it still looks dry, then scoop and serve immediately.
If it comes out crumbly: respin
If the first spin looks crumbly or dry, add 1 tbsp milk and RE-SPIN. High-protein bases almost always need one extra pass — check after each spin and stop as soon as it holds soft-serve ridges.
Still icy after the respin? The icy-fix guide has all seven fixes.
Scaling to your machine
For the 24 oz Deluxe tub (NC501), multiply every ingredient by 1.5 and spin on the Deluxe ICE CREAM setting. On Scoop & Swirl (NC701), the same base works — spin on ICE CREAM, then use SWIRL to fold in extra chopped strawberries.
FAQ
Can I use fresh strawberries instead of frozen?
Frozen work best — they're picked ripe and blend into the base without adding loose water. If you only have fresh, freeze them solid on a sheet pan first and reduce the milk by 2 tbsp so the pint doesn't spin icy.
What protein powder works best in a Ninja CREAMi?
Whey or whey isolate blends the smoothest and hydrates fastest. Plant proteins (pea, rice, soy) absorb more liquid and often spin gritty; if you use one, add an extra 1 tbsp milk before freezing and plan on an additional RE-SPIN.
Is the 37 grams of protein for the whole pint or per serving?
The whole pint. Creambook lists macros per pint, so that's the full 16 oz tub — roughly two generous servings at about 18 grams each.
Chasing protein? Peanut Butter Ninja CREAMi Ice Cream Recipe packs 41g per pint.
